Common problems and solutions of laser marking machines
Pop-up shows ‘unable to find the encryption dog, and the software will work in demonstration mode’ when open the laser software
1.Delete the current software folder and unzip it again. The file compression package is usually stored on disk D.
2.Contact the manufacturer to update the software version.
Pop-up shows ‘unable to start LMC1 driver. Please check if the driver is installed correctly’ when open the laser software
1.Cut off the power supply, open the back cover of the cabinet to find the USB cable connecting marking control card to computer and match it with another USB port.
2.Check the computer Device Manager to confirm whether there is a USD device with question mark, if there is, install the control card driver.
3.Open the back cover of the cabinet to check if the 5V output is working properly, and if the control card power light is working.
Pop-up shows ‘ fiber laser: over temperature’ when open the laser software
1.It usually appears when the laser is just started , due to temperature effects, only needs to turn off the software and wait for 10s-30s to restart it.
Pop-up shows ‘ LMC card does not match to this laser’ when open the laser software
1.Check if the control card matches to the laser
Fiber Laser doesn’t emit light when it’s working
1.Check if the laser options of F3 parameter about laser control page are correct in the software.
2.Check if the laser button starts properly.
3.Check if the 24V power supply output is working well.
4.Confirm if the laser power has weakened.
5.Check if the signal wire from the laser to the control card is loose.
There is no light when UV Laser is marking
1.Check if the laser indicator is on red light alarming.
2.Check if the chiller is in proper temperature range.
3.Check if the laser options of F3 parameter about laser control page are correct in the software.
4.Check if the 12V power supply output is working well.
5.Check if the laser button starts properly.
6.Check if the signal wire from the laser to the board card is loose.
The laser light is not moving or moving disorderly when it’s engraving
1.The galvanometer motor fails to rotate, resulting in fixed point light output.
2.Abnormal output of the control card galvanometer signal port.
3.Check if the 15V power supply output is working well.
4.If some areas are marked normally or some areas are marked abnormally, open the D drive of the computer and find screenshots of the parameters to check if the F3 parameters of the laser engraving software are correct.
The laser is in normal power but printing result is in low-quality
1.Check if the focal length is correct.
2.Check if there is dust or grease on the field lens.
3.Change the materials to retest and confirm if there are any material issues.
